Welcome to ColtPixy Miniatures
ColtPixy Miniatures is a tiny division of ColtPixy and my first love, miniatures. I currently create in 1:6, 1:12 and 1:24 scales.
My name is A.S. Edwards and I have been fascinated by miniatures my entire life. When I was about 9 years old my grandfather used to bring me tiny little dollhouse scale wild animals They were porcelain and I loved them. It was not long before I had a good sized collection and I told him that I wanted to display them as if they were in the wild. So we went for a walk in the woods and collected twigs and moss. He cut a log into a flat piece for me to attach everything to, gave me some glue and let me create it how I wanted.
As I grew older my love for miniature things has grown. Now I sculpt my own pieces using polymer clay, apoxie sculpt and/or magic sculpt. The majority of my work is one of a kind. While I do make some realistic things I much prefer fantasy. Things as they would appear in a child's imagination. It is how I try to remain young at heart.
